Description
The Design Engineer will support the design and construction of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities projects for the Trident II missile, including facility modifications, construction projects, and support equipment installation. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering design packages, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, design changes, and construction plans; evaluating compliance with engineering standards, customer requirements, and regulations; coordinating project activities; and conducting site visits to verify construction quality. The role requires knowledge of construction codes, the ability to interpret facility drawings, proficiency with Microsoft products, willingness to travel, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance with U.S. citizenship. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience with facility cost estimates, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, military construction, construction inspection, contract administration, field surveying, A&E design drawings, Statements of Work, and AI prompting are desired. The full-time salary range is $85,300 to $158,300, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, and other benefits.
