Description
Amazon is hiring a Facility Engineer for its Data Center Engineering & Operations team to maintain and operate power, cooling, mechanical, electrical, fire prevention, and control systems in AWS data centers. The role responds to equipment failures, investigates technical issues, installs and removes equipment, monitors systems, manages maintenance vendors, coordinates hardware and parts delivery, and helps reduce facility operation costs. It requires at least one year of relevant facilities or equipment experience, ability to work non-standard 12-hour shifts, and the ability to safely lift approximately 18 kg of equipment. Preferred experience includes electrical and mechanical engineering, manufacturing, maritime, oil and gas, alternative energy, nuclear power, or telecommunications carrier operations. The work is based in data centers in the Greater Tokyo Area, including Tokyo, Chiba, or Kanagawa Prefecture.
