Description
Amazon is hiring Facility Engineers and technicians for its Data Center Engineering & Operations organization to maintain and operate the mechanical and electrical systems supporting AWS data centers. The role involves monitoring and controlling equipment, responding to failures, investigating technical issues, installing and removing hardware, coordinating vendors and teams, and reducing facility operations costs. Candidates need prior work experience or a basic understanding of facilities, electrical, mechanical, fire prevention, control systems, and related equipment, along with the ability to work nonstandard shifts and safely lift approximately 18 kg. Practical experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, manufacturing, maritime, oil and gas, alternative energy, nuclear power, or telecommunications is preferred.
