Facility-Fee Emergency Department Medical Coder at Sutherland

The Facility-Fee Emergency Department Medical Coder reviews emergency department clinical and billing records to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, facility-specific E/M levels, modifiers, and applicable injections or infusions. The role requires facility-fee outpatient coding experience, injection and infusion experience, an AAPC or AHIMA coding certification, independent remote work, and knowledge of CMS, NCCI, payer, and regulatory requirements. Epic experience is preferred, and the coder will participate in quality reviews, audits, and process improvement.
