Description
The Mechanic assists with plant equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, installation, lubrication, cleaning, and testing of mechanical devices. The role also involves operating metalworking tools, maintaining work areas, following GMPs and safety procedures, and supporting other departments. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, computer literacy with a CMMS, industrial mechanical knowledge, diagnostic ability, shop equipment experience, and TIG or stick welding experience; industrial maintenance experience is preferred. The hourly rate is to be determined based on experience and placement test results, with possible step increases through Boar’s Head training programs.
