Description
GCI is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility infrastructure across Alaska, including HVAC, generators, batteries, UPS systems, fire suppression, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. The role requires travel to rural Alaskan communities, including up to 50% travel and work in remote areas, and involves maintaining equipment, tracking work orders, coordinating with vendors, and supporting facility safety and availability. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of relevant facility, maintenance, telecommunications, or related experience, and must be able to travel, obtain a DOT medical card, and complete required training.
