Description
AWS is hiring a Data Center Facilities Operations Specialist to support a newly developed Facilities Operations Center that monitors global data center physical infrastructure 24/7 and facilitates large-scale events. The role assists onsite teams, monitors infrastructure platforms, coordinates emergency recovery, supports outage postmortems, maintains records, develops communication and escalation protocols, and contributes to operational excellence. Candidates need data center or critical-environment experience, data center engineering or operations experience, and operations/on-call support experience; a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred. The position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays.
