Description
The part-time Anaerobic Digestion Plant Operator reports to the General Manager and operates, monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains anaerobic digestion equipment and processes. Responsibilities include receiving and weighing feedstock, tracking customers, monitoring plant equipment, handling digestate, adjusting process parameters, responding to alarms and plant upsets, and performing on-call weekend and holiday shifts. The role requires a high school education or equivalent, 2–3 years of wastewater industry experience, mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of anaerobic digestion biological processes, and a valid Ontario G registration driver’s licence. The hourly rate is 23.00.
