CAI is hiring a full-time, onsite Failure Analysis Engineer in Hampton, Virginia, to investigate product failures, manufacturing defects, customer complaints, warranty claims, and field returns. The role performs non-destructive and destructive laboratory analyses, prepares samples, uses microscopy and SEM/EDS, documents findings, supports root-cause investigations, and collaborates with engineering and quality teams to improve reliability and reduce scrap and yield issues. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience in failure analysis, materials engineering, reliability engineering, product engineering, or quality engineering, along with knowledge of analytical techniques and engineering problem-solving methodologies.
