Description
The Family Guide Representative serves as the first point of contact for families seeking services for a child with serious emotional disturbances within the Centralized Access and Intake Unit. The role explains available mental health and community services, assesses eligibility, directs families to appropriate services, schedules intakes, provides orientation, completes electronic medical records, and supports culturally competent, trauma-informed, person-centered recovery practices. The position reports to a Mental Health Supervisor, may require flexible hours and travel between SCCMHA locations, and requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant family-service experience, a valid Michigan driver’s license, and certification as a Certified Parent Support Partner within six months of hire.
