CFD Research is hiring a Finite Element Engineer to evaluate, analyze, and help design metallic and composite aerospace structures. The role develops and validates linear and non-linear FEA models, assesses safety margins and deflections, produces engineering reports, and supports design reviews. The position is based at the Huntsville headquarters, with regular trips to the Hollywood, Alabama, engineering test center. Required qualifications include U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a secret security clearance, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and experience with Abaqus, ANSYS, or NASTRAN; Python experience is a plus.
