Amazon is hiring an experienced software engineer for its Featured Merchant Algorithm (FMA) team, which builds software products and features for ranking and featuring product offers across Amazon’s desktop, mobile, and tablet environments. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, including designing and delivering complex systems, collaborating with senior and principal engineers, evolving product architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing machine-learning product strategies. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, and experience with at least one programming language; full software development life-cycle experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent are preferred.
