Central Oregon Community College is hiring a Federal Work-Study Geology Field Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year at $15.55 per hour. The student will organize the COCC Geology department’s collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils into a labeled and accessible library, identify common specimens, and work independently while communicating with students, staff, and faculty. The role requires federal work-study eligibility, satisfactory academic progress, background-check eligibility, and the ability to lift rocks weighing up to 25 pounds; rock-identification experience and bilingual English-Spanish fluency are preferred.
