Description
The Fiber Characterization (FC) Technician performs field testing and network troubleshooting for fiber-optic projects under a Technical Lead. Responsibilities include managing and calibrating test equipment, coordinating A- and B-side testing, verifying results, preparing customer reports, maintaining certifications, supporting customer contacts, and ensuring safety and quality. The role requires a valid US driver’s license, high school or equivalent education, at least two years of telecommunications training or experience, proficiency with Exfo OTDR and related fiber-testing tools, and the ability to work in field conditions.
