Description
Pilot is hiring a Fiber Splicer to plan, prepare, and perform fiber-optic splicing work in outdoor, underground, and in-building environments across the New York City metro area. The role includes organizing schematics and work orders, maintaining vehicles and inventory, setting up work zones, splicing single- and ribbon-fiber cables, building splice enclosures, troubleshooting fiber networks with optical test equipment, and documenting work. Candidates need at least one year of high-count fiber splicing experience, a valid driver's license, OSHA-30 certification, the ability to lift 75 pounds, and availability for the overnight 7 p.m.–3 a.m. Monday–Friday shift. The position offers a base salary of $62,400–$83,200 per year, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), commuter and wellness reimbursement, and paid time off.
