Nearfield Instruments is hiring an onsite Field Application Engineer in Leuven, Belgium, to support the deployment and application of Atomic Force Microscopy solutions in a semiconductor research environment. The role involves demonstrating AFM systems, analyzing measurement data, developing measurement recipes, troubleshooting metrology issues, and translating customer requirements into product and application developments. Candidates need an MSc or PhD in a relevant technical field, 3–5+ years of semiconductor equipment, metrology, or application engineering experience, semiconductor fabrication and process-control knowledge, data-analysis experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools, and fluent English. The position offers a five-day workweek, flexible hours, and possible overtime and business trips.
