LMI Technologies is hiring a Field Application Engineer II to serve as a senior technical expert, solution architect, and customer advocate in factory automation and 3D machine vision. Based at the Royal Oak facility, the role leads complex customer integrations, solves high-level technical problems, supports robot and PLC systems, performs lab validation, delivers demonstrations and training, develops automation scripts, gathers customer feedback, and mentors junior engineers. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least five years of high-technology automation or machine vision experience, at least three years of customer-facing technical experience, programming and CAD skills, and travel of 20–30% domestically and occasionally internationally.
