ABB is hiring a Senior Field Application Engineer for its Electrification business in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware trade areas, reporting to the Region Field Application Engineer Leader. The role serves as a technical lead for consulting engineers, end users, EPC and design-build customers, providing electrical project support, product selection, value engineering, budgeting, and education to achieve manufacturer acceptance. Responsibilities include supporting MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, motor control, power monitoring, and circuit-breaker applications; applying short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash mitigation concepts; and educating engineers, contractors, and users. The position is hybrid in the Philadelphia area with 10–15% travel and requires a relevant engineering degree, 8+ years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, along with PE certification preference and US work authorization.
