Microsoft is hiring a Field Chief Information Security Officer for its Software Digital Platform business to serve as a trusted advisor to customer CISOs, CxOs, and boards. The role develops strategic security plans, advises on security architecture, compliance, risk, and emerging threats, supports account and post-sales security initiatives, leads security presentations and industry forums, and provides feedback to product and Go-to-Market teams. It requires a relevant degree plus 4–7 years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, with cloud, AI, security architecture, and compliance expertise preferred. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, requires United States work authorization, involves up to 25% travel, and offers a base salary of USD 130,900–251,900 per year, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
