Moffatt & Nichol is hiring an Onsite Project Engineer / Site Engineer to support a major U.S. Navy Dry Dock 3 modernization project at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role is primarily field-based, working five days per week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing design post-construction administration, technical solutions, stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, submittal review, and digital field consultation reports. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering, at least five years of structural or civil engineering design or construction experience, a Professional Engineer license, and availability to start in December 2026. The base salary range is $120,000 to $180,000 for candidates working in the Virginia market, with medical, dental, vision, HSA, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
