Description
The Field Inspector I - Electrical inspects electrical installations in new and existing buildings during construction and after completion, identifies hazardous conditions, advises contractors and homeowners, and performs related field and office work. The role requires knowledge of the National Electrical Code, electrical construction and testing practices, plan interpretation, code enforcement, and physical ability to work indoors and outdoors, including lifting up to 45 pounds and operating a motor vehicle. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, five years of verifiable electrical construction experience, a valid Florida driver's license, and must obtain provisional Electrical Inspector licensure and pass the required examination.
