NatCen is hiring a Field Interviewer to conduct in-home research interviews across an assigned fieldwork area in Britain. The role involves visiting participants, guiding structured conversations, recording responses with a NatCen device, and supporting public-interest research on topics such as health, housing, transport, and everyday life. It is a travel-based position requiring a UK driving licence, access to a car, Class 1 Business insurance, right to work in the UK, DBS check willingness, broadband, and availability of at least 20 hours per week. No prior research experience is required, and the role offers £20–£30 per completed interview, holiday pay, admin fees, paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, and potential bonus payments.
