Field Safety – Operations Performance at Waymo

Waymo is hiring an Operations Performance Lead to own operations performance on its Field Safety team. The role leads investigations into complex human-system events, defines enterprise safety requirements for human drivers and vehicle operators, analyzes field data for closed-loop safety learning, and promotes a just safety culture across autonomous and manual driving operations, testing programs, and depot environments. It follows a hybrid schedule, reports to the Senior Director of Safety, and requires an advanced degree in a relevant field plus 10+ years of safety experience involving human-system interaction and complex socio-technical systems.
