Description
The Field Service Engineer installs, starts up, tests, troubleshoots, and services automotive testing equipment at company and customer locations. The role includes preventative maintenance, plant-floor and customer acceptance testing, technical training, service reporting, contractor coordination, equipment modifications, and troubleshooting electronic and computer hardware to the board level. It requires strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills, extensive travel of 50–90%, and a valid driver’s license; a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field is preferred, while 1–2 years of field service or related technical experience is also preferred.
