Description
Emerson is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina to support the installation, start-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of complex distributed control systems, subsystems, and control equipment at customer locations. The role provides on-site customer instruction, engineering advisory, maintenance procedures, quality testing, and activity reporting, with up to 75% travel including overnights and some weekends. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar technical curriculum, or relevant experience, plus at least two years of related customer-facing control-systems experience, is required; PLC, DCS, SCADA, datalink, and Emerson Ovation experience are preferred. The position offers a hybrid work option when not traveling and includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
