Description
Smith Pump Company, Inc. is hiring a Field Service Tech to inspect, troubleshoot, remove, install, start up, and maintain water and wastewater pumps. The role includes shop teardown, inspection, reporting, repair, tool maintenance, and operation of mobile pump service rig trucks, with approximately 75% travel throughout the Texas market. Required qualifications include service technician or mechanic experience, knowledge of water pumps or electrical or mechanical equipment, leadership and customer-service skills, communication ability, and the ability to drive a commercial vehicle daily. Preferred qualifications include five years of pump field-service experience, a Texas Certified Pump Installer credential, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a Class A Commercial Driver's License. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for most of the workday and handle weights of 100 pounds or more.
