Smith Pump Company, Inc. is hiring an experienced full-time Field Service Technician in Austin, Texas. The role services water and wastewater pumps and involves approximately 75% travel throughout Texas. Responsibilities include pump inspection, troubleshooting, diagnostics, removal, installation, startup, maintenance, shop teardown and repair, reporting, and maintaining tools and equipment. Candidates need service technician or mechanic experience, knowledge of pumps or electrical/mechanical equipment, strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills, and the ability to drive commercial vehicles and handle 100 pounds or more. Preferred qualifications include five years of pump field service or pump service rig experience, Texas Certified Pump Installer status, Microsoft Office skills, and a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
