Description
The Field Service Technician II (FST2) installs, commissions, troubleshoots, calibrates, and repairs LB Foster wayside equipment such as WILD, rockfall, and flood-monitoring systems for customers on railroads in the United States, Canada, and occasionally overseas. The role requires extensive travel, outdoor and live-track work, physical labor, and collaboration with customers and internal teams, with responsibilities including rail preparation, welding, soldering, electronic testing, documentation, travel logistics, and mentoring. Candidates need 2–5 years of field service experience, mechanical, electrical, or electronic experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a US passport.
