Description
The Field Service Technician will service, troubleshoot, and repair portable power generation units and related support equipment for National Oilwell Varco, L.P., working in both the company shop and customer sites. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, generator and control-system diagnostics, engine and alternator rebuilds, calibration, service documentation, customer coordination, safety compliance, tool and parts transport, and support for junior technicians. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of portable power generator service experience, diesel and electronic control-system proficiency, a valid driver’s license, travel ability, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to work flexible hours including on-call rotations.
