Atoms is hiring a Vehicle Test Engineer to plan and execute autonomous-vehicle scenario tests at proving grounds and on public roads. The role owns test procedures, instrumented targets, ground truth, data acquisition, tolerance bands, safety-of-test decisions, test scheduling, equipment calibration, and defensible written reports. Candidates need at least five years of hands-on vehicle test engineering, ADAS or autonomous-vehicle testing, or OEM and Tier 1 vehicle testing, along with Python or similar data skills and willingness to travel regularly. The role is onsite in San Francisco and pays $170,000–$215,000 per year, with medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance among the benefits.
