Description

World Vision Nepal is hiring a local, fixed-term Finance Manager for a one-year assignment based in Nuwakot District. The role manages multi-donor response funding, grant budgets, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, internal controls, audits, and partner financial monitoring. It requires a commerce or business degree, 3–5 years of relevant finance or grant-management experience, including at least 2–3 years with US Government-funded grants, and fluency in English and Nepali. The position involves approximately 30% travel to flood-affected areas and may require difficult field travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Studies, or an equivalent field
Required Previous Experiences: 3–5 years of progressive finance, accounting, or grant financial management experience in an NGO, INGO, or donor-funded environment
Experience in grant budgeting, financial reporting, fund management, and donor compliance
2–3 years of direct experience managing or supporting US Government-funded grants
Experience reviewing financial transactions for donor compliance
Experience in partner financial monitoring, capacity building, and financial risk assessment
Experience preparing and reviewing donor financial reports, budget forecasts, and grant reconciliations
Experience supporting internal, external, donor, and compliance audits
Experience with ERP/accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools
Experience in a computerized accounting environment
Preferred Qualifications: CIMA, CFA, ACCA, CA, or CPA certification
General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
Written and spoken English and Nepali
Practical knowledge of project budgeting, accounting, and reporting
Understanding of World Vision's financial system and procedures
