Leipzig University is hiring a Finance Department Head to lead the central administration’s finance department, which manages financial planning, payments, accounting, taxes, procurement, cost-performance accounting, project management, and third-party funding administration. The role includes technical, organizational, and disciplinary leadership of approximately 70 employees, strategic financial planning, ERP and digital process development, advisory support to the Rectorate and faculties, and representation in specialist committees. The position is permanent and full-time, with a start at the earliest possible date, and requires a university degree, multi-year leadership experience, strong financial and IT knowledge, and German and English proficiency.
