Description
Breeze is hiring a Financial Underwriting Lead to own merchant underwriting decisions from application through ongoing monitoring. The role analyzes financials, funding, runway, burn, unit economics, and liability risk; sets reserves, holdbacks, volume caps, and exposure limits; conducts portfolio re-reviews; and builds underwriting policies, scorecards, and reporting. The position requires 2–3 years of corporate debt analysis and underwriting experience, including work with startups and privately held companies, along with financial-statement fluency, advanced Excel, and AI-enabled finance workflows. The role is based in New York City on a hybrid schedule of three office days per week, with Singapore-based employees expected to work onsite five days per week.
