Description
The employer is hiring a permanent, onsite Finishing Supervisor in Calgary, Alberta, to lead the tactical operations of a wood and veneer finishing floor. Reporting to the Finishing Manager, the role supervises finishing booths, curing ovens, finishing lines, roll coaters, sanding cells, color consistency, surface preparation, equipment maintenance, inventory, quality inspections, safety, and team coaching. Candidates need 5–8 years of wood-finishing experience, expertise in wood species, veneer handling, and color control, and experience with automated and manual sanding equipment; a college or vocational certificate in Wood Processing or Industrial Finishing is preferred. The position pays $30–$35 per hour and includes benefits, vacation, pension, and safety-shoe reimbursement.
