Description
Total Fire Protection is hiring a Fire Alarm Engineer / Designer to design and support NFPA- and code-compliant fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and institutional projects. The role includes preparing construction drawings, device layouts, riser and battery calculations, permit packages, shop drawings, engineering submittals, site surveys, plan-review responses, and technical support through installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout. Candidates need at least three years of fire alarm design experience, knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, building and fire codes, AutoCAD, and permit/AHJ submission processes; NICET, engineering or electrical engineering education, a PE license, Revit/BIM, and integrated life-safety experience are preferred. Compensation is $100,000–$120,000+ annually, with medical, dental, and vision insurance and other benefits.
