Description
The City of Campbell River is recruiting a permanent, full-time Fire Dispatcher to receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls through telephone, radio, fixed alarm, and 911 systems; dispatch appropriate fire resources; monitor radio traffic; support Incident Command; and coordinate with external agencies. The role requires Grade 12 or equivalent, Occupational First Aid Level 1, a valid British Columbia driver’s licence, Canadian work authorization, a clean RCMP criminal record and vulnerability check, a radio operator licence, satisfactory hearing, and typing of at least 40 words per minute. Starting pay is $38.20 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package, and the posting closed on October 5, 2026.
