Central Oregon Community College is hiring a temporary Fire Equipment Assistant for the 2026–2027 academic year in Bend. The role supports the Fire Science Program Director in the office and classroom by maintaining and organizing the Fire Room, preparing instructional equipment, maintaining and repairing fire equipment, reporting safety concerns, securing rooms, cleaning equipment, and transporting equipment between campuses. The position pays $16.69 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with fire tools and equipment, effective communication, flexibility with tasks and hours, and the ability to perform essential functions including standing 75% of the time and occasionally handling equipment over 100 pounds.
