The Fire Inspector will support fire prevention and life-safety services in the National Capital Region, with emphasis on the Pentagon Reservation and Fort Belvoir Mark Center Campus. The role inspects buildings and fire protection or detection systems for code violations, identifies corrective actions, follows up on compliance, prepares inspection reports, and maintains current fire-safety knowledge. The position is onsite at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, requires Fire Inspector I certification and a public trust security clearance, and involves physically demanding work including standing, climbing, and lifting objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
