Description
The Fire Inspector performs entry-level fire prevention work under the direction of the Fire Marshal, including inspections of residential, commercial, industrial, and other buildings; code compliance and violation tracking; fire-protection system reviews; code interpretation; hazardous-materials information; public education; and support for fire investigations and emergency incidents. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, at least four years of Firefighter/EMT experience, IFSAC/ProBoard Firefighter II certification, and completion of specified fire-inspection and fire-service training within one year of hire. Compensation is $72,017.31–$88,099.17 per year, and the position is full time.
