Description
The Fire Lieutenant performs fire suppression and incident response activities, including operating fire apparatus, responding to emergencies, providing EMT Basic services, conducting technical rescue and hazardous materials response, maintaining equipment and facilities, preparing reports, and participating in training and public education. The role may lead a shift in the absence of the Captain and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of fire service experience, and several fire-service certifications, along with the ability to work extended hours and shift work.
