Description

Woolpert is hiring a Fire Protection Engineer to design and engineer fire suppression and fire alarm systems for complex commercial, mission-critical data center, and high-reliability infrastructure projects. The role includes hydraulic calculations, construction documents, code review, multidisciplinary coordination, permitting support, site visits, and quality assurance. Applicants must have a relevant bachelor's degree, at least five years of related experience, a Fire Protection PE, Revit proficiency, and experience with fire protection systems and modeling; visa sponsorship is not available. The position offers a base pay range of $87,100 to $108,900 USD and includes health, life, vision, and dental insurance.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of related experience, including fire protection systems design and product design for complex buildings, including mission-critical data center environments
Experience with fire alarm, mass notification, fire suppression, fire pumps, hydraulic calculations, special suppression, smoke control or exhaust, and fire-resistance-rated construction
Experience with smoke control rational analysis, CONTAM or CFD modeling, or other modeling software
Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial plants
