Description

The Fire Sprinkler Underground Utility Operator will operate mini track excavators and related equipment to trench and install underground fire sprinkler mains, service lines, hydrant leads, piping, valves, and other utility components. The role also supports fire protection crews with installation, hydrostatic testing, flushing, equipment inspection, maintenance, and OSHA-compliant trench safety. Candidates need at least five years of experience operating mini excavators or compact track equipment for underground fire line installations, a valid driver’s license, outdoor and physical-work ability, and strong safety and teamwork skills. Compensation is $32–$40 per hour depending on experience, with overtime, health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k), and training opportunities.
