Description
The Firefighter responds to fire and emergency calls, performs fire suppression, rescue, ventilation, forcible entry, salvage, extrication, search and rescue, water rescue, first aid, and hazardous materials response. The role also includes fire inspections, public education, apparatus maintenance, training, reporting, and other assigned duties. Applicants must have 60 post-secondary credits, a valid Wisconsin driver's license, physical ability to perform strenuous work, and the ability to obtain required certifications; EMT Basic and Firefighter I certifications are preferred by the date of hire.
