Description
The Term Firefighter (GS-0081-06) serves on a crew at Eglin Air Force Base performing airfield, structural, crash-rescue, and hazardous-materials firefighting; conducting hazard and risk assessments; providing first aid and rescue; maintaining firefighting equipment; and responding to hazardous-materials releases. The role requires U.S. citizenship, Selective Service registration, a security clearance, DOD firefighter certifications, one year of specialized firefighting experience, a pre-employment physical, and work on a 48-hour on/48-hour off schedule including weekends and holidays.
