Description
The City of Newport Beach Fire Department is hiring Firefighter Paramedics to provide fire protection, emergency medical services, and life-safety support. Applicants must submit six required documents, including a high school diploma or college degree, Firefighter I certification, a California or National Registry EMT-Paramedic license or paramedic-program completion, a driver's license, a Basic Life Support card, and a CPAT or Biddle PAT certification obtained between May 2025 and the present. Applications are accepted continuously, with an online exam, oral interview, and Ocean Swim Test to be announced. Successful candidates may receive a conditional offer subject to background, psychological, and medical examinations, and must live within 150 miles of the city limits if hired after January 1, 2019.
