The role develops and tests embedded real-time digital signal processing and control systems for advanced applications, including programming and testing embedded control systems for an optical modem ASIC, performing MATLAB and C++ modeling, coding real-time firmware, developing database APIs, and contributing to digital ASIC simulation. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, C and C++ proficiency, MATLAB experience, and knowledge of DSP, control theory, and communications theory.
