AWS is hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer for its Power Architecture team to develop firmware algorithms for power, thermal, and performance management on machine-learning acceleration chips. The role involves designing real-time control policies, resource-allocation and frequency/voltage-scaling algorithms, embedded instrumentation and telemetry, developer tools, automated testing, and validation workflows. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, strong firmware or embedded systems experience, C/C++ systems-programming skills, and experience with hardware interfaces, instrumentation, or performance monitoring. The position is based in Cupertino, California, with a base salary of $165,200 to $223,600 annually.
