AWS is hiring a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, validate, and deploy firmware for NAND-based SSDs and other non-volatile memory devices used in AWS infrastructure. The role owns architecture and design tradeoffs, collaborates with hardware, software, validation, and external vendor teams, and contributes to device characterization, benchmarking, integration, and production deployment. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent, at least three years of professional software development and embedded firmware experience, and strong SSD, NAND, and storage-systems knowledge.
