Description
The Firmware Engineer will maintain and update embedded firmware for four proprietary energy-monitoring devices used in demand response operations. The role covers low-power microcontroller firmware, field debugging, legacy code maintenance, hardware interface integration, serial and cellular communications, satellite telemetry, secure OTA updates, and long-term product sustainability. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience, 2–5 years of embedded firmware development experience, and familiarity with C/C++, Python, Linux, embedded Linux toolchains, debugging equipment, and industrial communication protocols.
