The Early Career Firmware Engineer will join an agile Scrum team developing firmware for next-generation optical network equipment. The role involves writing and testing firmware for embedded CPUs in custom Nokia ASICs, collaborating on feature definition, coding, and testing, and mentoring interns and co-ops. Applicants should have prior intern or co-op experience at Nokia or Infinera, a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent, experience with C, C++, and Python, and knowledge in areas such as digital signal processing, control theory, optical networks, optical components, or embedded CPUs. The role also requires experience with agile development, feature acceptance criteria, and unit testing.
